OmniSecure delivers advanced safety and security features to help keep you and your loved ones protected.1  

Sirius XM Connected Vehicle Services Inc. (SiriusXM Connect) is an affiliate of Sirius XM Radio LLC. The OmniSecure app is owned and operated by SiriusXM Connect and is separate from the SiriusXM audio app.

OmniSecure by SiriusXM Connect is currently only available to SiriusXM Platinum VIP subscribers, and their invited group members, as an additional benefit of their subscription plan.

  • Core features include:

Accident Aid+: Crash detection that rides with you, no matter whose car you’re in. In the event of an accident, we connect1 you with a trained response agent able to support you and alert the appropriate emergency services whether it’s police, fire, or medical assistance.2 

Safety Companion: With a single tap, you can quickly connect1 to a trained response agent ready to assist. OmniSecure provides support for everything from brief moments of unease to serious situations when you need emergency assistance.

Connect Map: Allows you to view the real-time1 location of loved ones, helping you stay connected and providing more peace of mind.4

Roadside Assistance: One-click provides you with access1 to Allstate Pay-Per-Use Roadside Assistance.3 By using this feature, Allstate’s services will be billed separately by the provider.

Note: Devices older than the iPhone XR, such as iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and iPhone X, are not compatible with iOS 17 and, therefore, will not support the OmniSecure app.

Android

  • Supported Devices:

  • Android 10 (API Level 29) devices and above, which include a wide range of phones from manufacturers like Samsung, Google, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and more.

  • Devices running Android 10 are generally released from 2019 onwards, ensuring that the app runs on the majority of active Android devices.

Note: The app is optimized for smartphones and is not compatible with tablets or wearables (e.g., Wear OS)

The app is available on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Search for ‘OmniSecure by SiriusXM Connect’.

  • OmniSecure is currently available to SiriusXM Platinum VIP subscribers at no additional cost.
  • An internet or data connection is required to use the app and data costs may apply.1
  • In the event that you choose to utilize Allstate pay-per-use roadside assistance, you will be billed separately by the provider.3

OmniSecure is only available in the US, including Puerto Rico.1

If you are a SiriusXM Platinum VIP subscriber, you will receive an email with a one-time activation code sent to the email address associated with your Platinum VIP SiriusXM account. 

If you have not placed an up-to-date email address associated with your SiriusXM Platinum VIP account, you will not be able to utilize this benefit.

 

To use the OmniSecure app:

  • Download the OmniSecure app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store

  • Enter the activation code from your email to begin the onboarding process

  • Complete the enrollment steps: 

    • Set up your password.

    • Enter and validate your contact information.

    • Create a group to share information with up to 5 people. 

    • Follow the prompt to add OmniSecure Contact Center to your contacts. This ensures you recognize the call for help in an emergency.

 
  • Enable Required Permissions:

    • Location set to “Always On” with Precise Location – Provides real-time location updates and assistance.1

    • Motion & Fitness (iOS) / Physical Activity (Android) – Enables crash detection.2

    • Notifications – Allows critical alerts about your friends and family group members.

If you are a SiriusXM Platinum VIP subscriber, you will receive an email with a one-time activation code sent to the email address associated with your SiriusXM account.

  • Activation codes are valid for 6 months.
  • If you cannot find your code, believe that it has expired, and/or are receiving an error message, email support@siriusxmconnect.com for a new code. 

    • In your request, please include:

    • Your name, SiriusXM Platinum VIP account number, email address, and phone number. If you are receiving an error message, include that as well.

  • The main OmniSecure account holder (Primary Subscriber) must be at least 18 years of age.4

  • OmniSecure group members must be at least 13 years old.

  • The OmniSecure primary subscriber must be the parent or legal guardian of any group member under the age of 18.
  • If a crash is detected, our agents will call you to provide assistance.1, 2

  • If you do not respond, we will automatically notify your group members and our agents will contact emergency services on your behalf.

  • For OmniSecure to detect a crash, the following conditions must be met:

    • The vehicle must reach a minimum speed of 15 mph at some point within the 5 seconds before a collision. 

    • Your phone must have:

      • More than 10% battery

      • Battery Optimization and Power Saving Mode disabled

      • A strong cellular signal.

    • The following must be enabled for crash detection to function properly:

      • Location set to “Always On” with Precise Location

      • Motion & Fitness (iOS) / Physical Activity (Android)

      • Notifications

Yes, the crash detection feature requires your phone to be in a moving vehicle because  it relies on motion and speed data to detect crashes.2

No, it does not require any direct connection to the vehicle. It works entirely through your phone’s sensors and location data.1, 2

Yes, crash detection works for any vehicle occupant using the OmniSecured app, not just the driver, as long as the vehicle is moving at sufficient speed.2

If multiple occupants have OmniSecure installed, crash detection can trigger independently for each person, based on their phone’s data.1, 2

Yes, your phone must be powered on, as the feature depends on location services and physical activity data.1, 2

No, the app does not need to be open. Crash detection works in the background, as long as you’re logged in and the required permissions are enabled.1, 2

 

  • When you tap to request a call, a 5 second countdown timer will begin.1

  • During this time, you can cancel the alert if it was not intended.

  • If you do not cancel within 5 seconds, an agent will call to assist you.

  • Tap the tow truck icon on the upper right of your home screen.

  • This will connect1 you to Allstate pay-per-use Roadside Assistance.3

  • You will be responsible for any costs associated with use of this service.

Note: Using this feature will not send a notification to your group, but the event will appear in your Discover feed.

 

  • Only the primary subscriber can add or remove group members from the group. 

    • The primary subscriber can add up to five additional members to the group (for a total of six, including yourself).4

    • If your group is already full, you’ll need to remove an existing member before adding a new one.

    • If a group member is removed, they will lose access to the OmniSecure safety and security features but will still be able to view and manage their personal profile.

  • To add a group member:

    • Tap the Menu icon in the top left of the app.

    • Select View / Manage Group, then select your group.

    • Choose how you would like to invite a member: 

      • Import from your phone’s contact list.

      • Manually enter the contact information.

    • PLEASE NOTE that you may not invite a group member that is under the age of 18 unless: 

      • You are the parent or legal guardian of that invited teen group member;

      • That invited teen group member is age 13 or older; and

      • You have first read and accepted the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy on that teen’s behalf before inviting them to be a group member. 

        • The invited teen group member will be shown the Teen Terms of Use and Teen Privacy Policy explaining the terms you have already accepted on their behalf before they can complete enrollment as a group member.

  • To delete a group member:

    • Tap the Menu icon in the top left of the app.

    • Navigate to the Groups section and select Manage Group.

    • Choose the member(s) you wish to remove.

    • Click on Delete  Member.

  • The primary OmniSecure subscriber cannot voluntarily leave the group or transfer ownership. 
  • If you are not the primary subscriber, you can remove yourself from a group.
    • Tap the gear icon next to your group name.
    • Select Leave Group.

Note: Simply deleting the app will not remove your account or group membership.  

  • To permanently delete your OmniSecure account:
      • Sign in to your OmniSecure account
  • Tap the Menu icon in the top left of the app.
    • Select Privacy & Data
    • Select Request Account Deletion

 

  • If you are the primary subscriber of a group and you cancel your SiriusXM Platinum VIP audio subscription, then:

    • You and all group members will lose access to the OmniSecure services and safety features.

    • However, each group member will still be able to view and manage their OmniSecure profile.

  • To permanently delete your OmniSecure account:

    • Sign in to your OmniSecure account

    • Tap the Menu icon in the top left of the app.

    • Select Privacy & Data

    • Select Request Account Deletion

 

  • If the primary subscriber stops using the app but maintains an active Platinum VIP subscription and OmniSecure account, that subscriber’s group members’ access to the OmniSecure safety and security features will continue.

  • If the primary subscriber deletes their account, the group will be dissolved and  
    group members will:

    • Lose access to OmniSecure services and safety features.

    • Remain able to access and manage their OmniSecure profile.

  • To permanently delete your OmniSecure account:

    • Sign in to your OmniSecure account

    • Tap the Menu icon in the top left of the app.

    • Select Privacy & Data

    • Select Request Account Deletion

  • Residents of certain U.S. states may have the ability to exercise rights and choices regarding their personal data. 

    • To exercise your right to delete, tap the Menu icon in the top left of the app..

    • Select Privacy & Data

    • Select Your Privacy Choices.

    • Complete the form and submit your request.

Note: If the primary subscriber submits a right to delete request, the subscription will be canceled due to its impact on the OmniCare services

  • OmniSecure will not access your location under the following conditions:

    • You are logged out of the app.

    • The app has been uninstalled.

    • The app has been offloaded to iCloud (iOS) or Auto Archived (Android) due to infrequent use.

      • App offloading or archiving occurs only if you have enabled the respective settings.

        • iOS: Offload Unused Apps

        • Android: Automatically archive unused apps

  • OmniSecure can still access your location:

    • If you are logged in and your Location is set to use location only while using the app the OmniSecure app will only get your location when you are actively viewing and using the app; you will not be covered by the safety services.1, 2 For more information, view the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. 

    • If you are logged in and your Location is set to use location permissions always, OmniSecure will access your location even if the app is minimized or open in another window.

  • If you’re having difficulty signing in after downloading the app and know your registered email, try resetting your password:
  • Tap “Forgot Password” on the sign-in screen.
  • Follow the one-time passcode (OTP) instructions sent to your email.
  • If your email isn’t registered, you’ll receive a notification on the Forgot Password screen.

  • I’m a minor user and can’t log back into the app. Why was my account deleted?
    • Accounts for users under 18 must always be part of a group with a legal parent or guardian as the group owner.
      If a minor leaves or is removed from their group, their account is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

To update your password:

  • Tap the Menu icon in the top left of the app.
  • Under the Account section, select Profile.
  • Choose Password and enter your current password.
  • Enter and confirm your new password, then save the changes.

Password Requirements:

  • At least 8 characters
  • 1 uppercase letter
  • 1 special character (!@#$%^&*()-_=+<>\”)
  • At least 1 number (0-9)
  • No spaces
  • Cannot include your first or last name
  • Cannot reuse your last two passwords

OmniSecure uses an approximate location, which may vary due to factors such as GPS signal strength, WiFi or mobile network connection, and device settings.1

Trouble shooting steps:
  • Restart your device to refresh location services.
  • Check your internet connection (WiFi or mobile data) to ensure a stable signal.
  • Ensure location services are enabled:
  • iOS:
    • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services
    • Ensure Location is set to “Always On”
    • Turn on “Precise Location”
  • Android:
    • Go to Settings > Location Services > App Permissions
    • Select OmniSecure and set it to “Allow All the Time”
    • Turn on “Use Precise Location”
  • Disable Battery Saver mode, as it can limit GPS accuracy.
  • Reinstall the app to reset permissions if the issue persists.
  • OmniSecure uses multiple inputs to detect a crash 2 , but sometimes false detections can occur due to:

    • Hard braking

    • Dropping your phone

  • If this happens, simply inform the calling agent that no accident has occurred and that no assistance is needed.

Submit an In-App support ticket

  • Tap the Menu icon in the top left of the app.

  • Select About OmniSecure 

Assistance will be provided within 48 hours.

  • Currently, users can only be part of one group at a time.
  • If you want to join a different group, you must first leave your current group

    • Tap the Menu icon in the top left of the app.

    • Navigate to Menu > Groups > View/Manage Group > Leave Group.

    • Users cannot request to join a group through the app. Only the primary subscriber can initiate and send invitations to add new members.

  • If you wish to join a group, you’ll need to ask the primary subscriber to send you an invite.

 To change your name:

  • Tap the Menu icon in the top left of the app.
  • Navigate to the Account section. 
  • Select Profile > Name. 
  • Update your name and save the changes.

You should only request an email address change for OmniSecure if you have also updated your SiriusXM Platinum VIP account email address. 

  • Submit a support ticket in the OmniSecure app
  • Email your request to submit a support ticket in the app or by emailing support@siriusxmconnect.com.
  • Tap the Menu icon in the top left of the app.

  • Under the Account section, select Profile, then Phone Number.

  • Enter the new phone number you’d like to associate with your account.

  • You’ll receive a one time passcode (OTP) via text message.

  • Enter the OTP to confirm and save the phone number change

  • New users will be prompted to add vehicle information after the onboarding process by following the prompt to the Vehicle Information page. 

    • Tap the Menu icon in the top left of the home screen.

    • Navigate to Account > Vehicle Information. 

    • From there you can edit existing vehicle details, or add/remove vehicles as needed.

You can still use OmniSecure whether you’re a driver or passenger.1 While it is often useful to first responders arriving on the scene of an emergency, vehicle information is not required to use the app.

When events occur, the involved group member’s location pin will stay highlighted in red for 10 minutes.

To view a history of events, go to the Discover page (bottom right of the home screen), where you’ll find a list of all events from the past 30 days.

Events in the Discover page remain viewable for 30 days and cannot be removed manually. They will automatically disappear after the 30-day period.

Push notifications can only be disabled through your phone’s operating system settings. 

Note: If you disable push notifications, you will still receive a daily in-app pop-up reminder letting you know that notifications are turned off. This is because the app cannot function properly or offer safety and security services without notifications enabled.1

No, you cannot disable push notifications sent to group members after an event. These notifications are designed to keep your group informed in the event of an emergency or other important incident.

1. The OmniSecure App, and its ability to reach the response center or emergency support, are dependent upon an operative cellular connection, navigation map data and GPS signal reception. See OmniSecure - Terms of Use for complete service limitations. The OmniSecure App services are only available while traveling in the United States, including Puerto Rico. Smartphone compatibility and necessary permissions to access certain features such as motion and precise locations on the device must be enabled to utilize all OmniSecure App services including crash detection and the ability to determine your location. Terms of Use apply. Data rates may apply.

2. Accident Aid+ will be unable to detect a crash in a vehicle that has not moved for an extended period. A vehicle must be traveling for at least 5 seconds and have first reached a speed of at least 15 miles per hour before a crash can be detected. Additionally, the crash detection feature requires the notification setting for the OmniSecure App be enabled on your smartphone device; and battery life on the device must be above 10% with battery optimization and power saving mode disabled. No crash detection technology is 100% accurate and inherent limitations in the App’s crash detection algorithm and its interaction with your smartphone may result in the App detecting a crash that did not occur or not detecting a crash that did occur.

3. OmniSecure roadside assistance services are intended for passenger and light duty personal vehicles, only, and consist of connecting you to a third-party roadside service provider upon your request in the OmniSecure App. You will be directly responsible to the roadside assistance provider for any fees and costs for the services it provides to you.

4. The main OmniSecure account holder (Primary Subscriber) may invite up to five additional group members. Group members must be age 13 or older. The Primary Subscriber must be the parent or legal guardian of any invited group member that is a legal minor in the state where they reside (under 18 in most states), or they are not eligible to be invited to an OmniSecure group.
